I Like Him So Much, He’s Making Me Sick…

Like in most new “relationships” you’ll soon encounter a few speed bumps. So last week I spent the day and night with My Guy at his place. I knew he had a dog and figured, I’d get over my psychological issues and befriend “fido”. So during my stay things couldn’t have been better. I so enjoy this man’s company. We laughed, played games, had excellent conversation, and enjoyed a night of star gazing from his backyard patio. What more could a girl ask for?

The next morning right before I left My Guy made us breakfast and I was set to begin my journey back home. This is when the horror began. How about my eyes were so freaking puffy and I thought my nose was going to fall off from sneezing so damn much. As soon as I got home I took damn near every drug in my medicine cabinet, and that’s how I spent my 4th of July. Saturday and Sunday were pretty much the same. I was heavily medicated and slept the entire weekend away. On those two days I had the worst sore throat. Which brings me to today, at least my sore throat has ceased. But now I can’t breathe out of my nose, and I sound very stuffy.

All of this behind his damn dog, its way too early to even consider asking him to chose between me or the dog (how mean is that?). I guess for now we’ll have to have visits at my house. I’ve never had to share space with a dog before. None of my close friends have dogs and I’ve never dated a man with a dog (he’s actually a cute dog). This isn’t a deal breaker, I like him too much. But damn his dog…

Nothing like a great guy cooking food for you in his kitchen :)

you know you might actually adjust to the dog...if you are around what you are allergic to enough your body builds up a resistance to it...my brother is allergic to cats but once he moved in with his wife, eventually his allergy disappeared...you never know...but see a dr...

oh and by the by, did i say i was totally excited for you!

yea!

D is allergic to dogs, he's been living here basically 4 years, he's still allergic, lol. He knows I love my dogs and I wouldn't give them up for no one...so hopefully you aren't considering an ultimatum for your guy. Dogs are like family for many of us...

Cats on the other hand...blech!

Flonase works wonders for many (nasal spray); clariten D works for others (pill)...it's really a matter of trial and error to see which allergy medicines work for you (and get the non drowsy kind ;-) ) You may also want to see a doctor to see if there's anything they can guide you with.

t.c.- I may have to see my doctor and their opinion. Thanks for the love sweetie :)

Black- I would never consider an ultimatum at this point, its way too early in the game. I did buy some clariten this morning. I am still having issues, not sure what all is the cause at this point.
