Flying Solo Tonight...

So over the past holiday weekend your girl partied like a rock star. It’s actually the first time I’ve been out in quite some time. Like any typical Friday, I left work and went to my beautician to get my hair done, but I usually call it a night after a hectic day. Well this night I decided I was looking too good to go home, wrap up my hair, and hit the sheets. So I decided to go to this bar near my home and have some drinks by myself. I attempted to call a few friends but after unanswered calls, trying to convince people to go, or waiting another hour to for them to get ready; I decided to roll solo. I’ll admit I had to consult one of my girls from my home town to get another opinion of my bold decision. Once I got the encouragement I needed, it was official and off to the bar I went.

I hit my joint twice so I could get the proper buzz to feel cool, calm, sexy, and relaxed. Once I got there I secured the perfect seat so I could be seen. I made friends with the bartender chick and soon came the fellas. I found it more gratifying to be alone. I didn’t have my girls all up in my ear or have to worry if anyone else is having a good time. I was more opened and friendly alone. I guess we women tend to display a sense of arrogance when we’re around our girls. Needles to say I found my little adventure extremely entertaining. I did manage to store a few new phone numbers in my cell, which was the point and purpose. Perhaps, this something I can start to do on a once a month basis.

I am still a little turned off when it comes to the whole clubbing thing every night or weekend. But the next time I am feeling like a ten, the only accessories I’ll need to go out are my fly shoes, purse, and a smile…
