It’s the Freaking Library!
So I’ve spent the past two weeks living in a library (well not literally). It’s all part of this major preparation I’ve had to undergo. Anyway, let me start my rant. When I was growing up I thought libraries were for the intellectual or at least someone who appreciates the lost art of reading. First off, the library should be a quiet atmosphere full of literature adventures waiting to be embarked on.
I treat the library like I would a theater; I turn off my ringers on both my cell and in this case my laptop. But these people are straight freaking retards. They come in loud and ready to have social hour, every fucking phone rings like a goddamn BET show. Then you haven people listening to their mp3 players with the headphones on full blast. What the hell is wrong with you people? Parents letting their children run through this place like it’s a freaking playground.
I wouldn’t assume the abovementioned happens only at “hood” libraries. I’ve tried both. For example there’s this guy sitting at a table directly across from me. From the looks of his demeanor I would say he just left work, business casual. Well he comes trotting in with his headphones loud as hell rapping along with the lyrics, which is what caught my attention. Naturally I give him the crazy look, lol. He then takes his seat and pulls out his laptop. I assumed his uses it more as a radio than for any other purpose because as soon as he boots up the Windows music starts blasting from his speakers. Once again I look at you crazy.
Now, he’s sitting there with the laptop on but he’s reading the sports section of the newspaper. 30 minutes later he’s still sitting there looking out of place. I am not being judgmental, but I don’t think this man came here to do any research or catch up on some pressing work. I don’t know what’s worst his badass library etiquettes or that big nasty scab sitting on his forehead…

You'd be surprised what some people do in the library, lmao.
I'd be pretty darned annoyed at that guy...along with any loud talkers, cell phones ringing, and music. I have no problems telling them to be quiet or getting security...
totally sounds like dude was merely there to "pick up someone" i say someone because we never know these days...anywho...
gurl people are just ignant period! makes no sense...and the looks don't work anymore...i do it and they look back at me like I AM the one with the issue OR like what the F*CK is you looking at....
CLASSIC
Let me tell you the libraries aren't what they used to be. I work for one and its not a quiet place that it was suppose to be. Add to that the administration is making it more business than preserving it for what it is but that's another story. My advice to you is that the next time you're in there and some idiot comes in blasting music and being an nuisance you get up and scream, CUT THE SHIT and he'll know, because believe me you're not the only one feeling the way you do. Its annoying. I've done it many times, and I get quiet as soon as I raise my voice.
