Enjoying Me time once again…

This past weekend was the first weekend in a while I spent alone and it was freaking great. Usually Mr. Godiva and I spend this time together, but since some changes have been made I got some time to myself.

He actually attempted to see me this weekend and if I gave into his request things would have went on as usual. Friday night I celebrated my birthday by going out with some friends. Around 10:30pm I get my first text from Godiva asking me if we could meet up that night. I didn’t respond because I wasn’t aware of his message at that time. I then get another one at 11:30 asking me to call (I also missed this one). The final one was at 12:40 am informing me that “talk tomorrow” (as if).

Let me back up a little on how we got to this point:

On my birthday he did stop by my office to drop off my gift around 3:00pm. I decided we should go to lunch, since at that point I was starving from being so busy that day. Lunch was average mainly like lunch with a friend. I figure lunch was less personal than dinner.

The next day we had an im conversation. He started it off by asking if he could see me Saturday night. I then used this time to inquire about his newfound “crush” and how that was going. He informs me that things went south (Do not pass go nor collect $200). She wasn’t comfortable with his age. How funny? So now you wanna come kick with me? (I think NOT). I then proceed to let him know that I am in NO way your rebound chick. (You better ask some body). Mr. Man is all confused and thinks I’m going to accompany him on his quest to finding himself.

Sorry Mr. Godiva but you’re getting the cold shoulder until I decide when and if I wanna deal with you…

I KNOW THAT'S right! I really have nothing else to say...because you are handling things well...

^5! that's a good step in self-preservation and not allowing yourself to go backward when everything is pulling you forward.

Wow...the grass is always greener on the other side, lol.

Hope that was a lesson he learned!
