Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number…

So the current guy I am “dating” is 56 years old (a year under my mom) while I am 27 years old. Is that a problem? I don’t see his age alone as an immediate indication to stop seeing him. We get along great and we do have many things in common. However, if I met this same person at the age of 21; it would’ve been in my best interest to not get involved with any man that age. I am not nearly the same person I was two years ago, let alone six.

A friend of mines considers the age to be a bit much, and I’ll admit he’s older than what I would generally look for. But he entered my life for a reason and there’s an even greater reason why I feel the need to give him a chance and continue getting to know him better. We spent this past weekend together and I can’t recall the last time (if any) I had such a great time in one man’s company. I love our chemistry, I love doing things with him, I love our engaging conversations, and I love that regardless of our age difference there’s so much both of us can learn from one another.

So it’s now the second day of the New Year and a chance to start and try something NEW. While I value the opinion of my friends and others; I believe it’s through one’s personal experience true lessons are better learned. I love being in this man’s company and I don’t feel his age is enough reason to discontinue talking to him.

personally, i think you should do what YOU want to do. yes, a friends opinion is great, but you're the one in the situation and you know what's working for you. like race, sexuality, or religion; age is a discrimation and it shouldn't be used to negate one's presence in your life. i have a friend who's in her early 60's who means the world to me and is one of the best people i've ever made friends with. Girl, this is a time for you to continue to grow, develop, and explore the many unknowns and blessings yet to come. Go for it!!!

A relationship such as this one can be a beautiful experience. If your heart feels the connection then go for it, but remember that feelings are temporary. It would be nice to know what his expectations and limitations are.

You will bring him youth and he will bring you wisdom. There is nothing wrong with that.

I've had men that age hit on me and I've always wondered what it would be like to date/sex a man that age.

Even though my mom would KILL ME (she's 44).

But if this works for you, go for it.

And please fill me in on the sex...if you've "done it" yet.

Inquiring minds need to know babe.
