Another Star is Born...

I try not to post too much on the celebrity gossip or news too often. I leave that to the pros, but since I am a person who watches many things on television and actively participate in this thing called pop culture. This was another great moment aired on television. Yesterday Cassie performed on 106 & Park.

WHAT THE HELL?
Is the only question I have for all of you music executives, especially Mr. Combs.

Clearly the message conveyed here is as long as you have a pretty face, I can try to make you a star. And screw the industry for continuing to serve us bullshit and calling it music.

Oh yes, I can see the Staple Center, American Airline Center, and many other arenas nationwide selling out concert tickets to see Ms. Cassie.
The show would go a little something like this:

HIT IT!!!!

  3. @views- I was too through after her performance. Her publicist and label reps needs to just tell her to just smile and look pretty.

Seriously how far do you think she would get on American Idol?

A&R PEEPS ASK YOURSELF: What would Simone say?

@mistress- I guess she thought if Britney or Janet could get away with not being strong vocalist and make it, so could she. But she forgot about the stage presence part and keeping the coordination of lip singing and music track in tact. Too much multi-tasking for the little woman… LOL

  6. That right there..is EXACTLY why I DO NOT buy into many "pop" stars in the making or that are already out...that was a straight up MESS!
NO real singing ability AT all...and what's really sad is that SHE will STILL sale records and sell out shows just BECAUSE she has a pretty face and because of who is behind her....it makes NO SENSE at all....
Meanwhile REAL talent goes unheard of....

  7. @T.C.- say it isn’t so! I would like to think the American people will NOT patronize such bullshit. Not that we’ve never have.

But sold out concerts? I refuse to believe anyone would pay money to see her perform. We saw the horror on TRL and 106.

Kids across the world must now be saying “I can do that!” And I say yes you too can be a star, regardless if it’s you’re calling or NOT!!!!

Be on the look out for my album “Good Shit” 9-9-09…LOL

  10. @beauty-unfortunately it’s a subject that’s needed to be addressed a long time ago. But as long as we’ll buy, why change the formula?

  12. Did they intentionally give her a mic that didn't work? I couldn't tell if it was her or her backup singers.

It's all about catchy beats and toned tummies these days. Who even bothers to listen to the words anymore??
